Noble “Uncle Bozo" Carver, with an inset of him and his cousin Robert Carver.  Back in the 1920's, Uncle Bozo recorded with his brother Warner and his cousin Robert as the Carver Boys.  They recorded one of my favorite old-timey songs, "Tim Brook."

Uncle Bozo was born in Tracy, KY . . . which is basically where my people on my mom’s side are from.  Local elder, and the nicest man I have ever met, Jigs, remembers seeing Uncle Bozo play at the old Capital Hill school house (a one room school house that my grandfather and my mother went to.  Unfortunately, it has recently been torn down).  Uncle Bozo was quite a character, as you can tell by his choice in clothes.
