Buell Kazee was a virtuoso banjo player known for his renditions of “The Butcher’s Boy,” “East Virginia,” “The Wagoner’s Lad,” and others. After he retired from music, he returned to his life as a Baptist preacher. He was rediscovered in the folk music revival of the 60s.
