Panther, KY native Jimmy Logsdon was primarily a country music singer who crossed over into a bit of rockabilly . . . hence the name change, as he apparently didn’t think the country music fans would take too kindly to him singing about that rocket in his pocket that is rarin’ to go!  But that song, “I Got a Rocket in My Pocket”, has gone on to be fairly influential . . . think “Cock in my Pocket” by Iggy and the Stooges.  Logsdon’s most famous country song was a tribute to his hero, "Hank Williams Sings the Blues No More."
