“Richard Hell”

Lexington homeboy Richard Hell was the prototype punk, for you can blame him for much of the “look” of punk . . . spiked hair, torn shirts, safety pins, etc.  But that is doing a disservice to his actual music.  This man co-founded the seminal punk bands The Heartbreakers (not Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, but the mucho kick-ass Heartbreakers with Johnny Thunders), Television and, of course, Richard Hell and the Voidoids.
